Our Services
Dry Needling
Dry needling is a form of treatment that implements a sterile, single-use, filament needle that is inserted into the muscle fibre. This causes the muscle to twitch and in turn triggers the contracted muscle fibres to relax. This treatment assists with decreasing local muscular pain and improving function through the restoration of the muscles ability to lengthen and shorten by releasing knots within our muscles.
Sports Injury Physiotherapy
Sports injury physiotherapy involves rehabilitation with a key focus on injury prevention through strength and conditioning. We work with the individual to formulate a management plan incorporating short and long term goals to enable a return to sport at a level of peak performance with a reduced risk of further injury.
Spinal Manipulation
Spinal manipulation is a technique that treats back pain, neck pain and other musculoskeletal conditions. A controlled level of pressure is applied to the spinal joints followed by a release in pressure around the area being manipulated. This restores the structural integrity of the spine, reduces pain and initiates the body’s natural healing process. This technique in combination with other treatment modalities such as dry needling and taping compliment and assist in relieving joint stiffness and pain.
Pre and Post-Operative Rehabilitation
Pre and post-operative rehabilitation go hand in hand to improve complications with pain, function and recovery time. Pre-operative rehabilitation is in place to reduce the risks and complications during surgery and accelerate recovery. Post-operative rehabilitation is for re-establishing muscular strength and joint function. As a result of performing a comprehensive assessment we are able to provide a detailed treatment plan taking into account the goals of both the surgeon and individual. The treatment is a combination of strength and conditioning, exercise prescription and manual therapy to improve range of motion, coordination and strength to return to a functioning state of normality.

Chronic Pain
Management
Whilst individuals can develop pain and experience a resolution of pain within a few weeks, some pain can continue to linger. When pain continues for more than three months, this is referred to as chronic pain. Chronic pain is managed through discussion, investigation and pain science education, progressing towards increased understanding of pain and its interaction with physical function. Treatment modalities include manual therapy, dry needling and exercise therapy. Exercise therapy is extremely important for chronic pain sufferers as it allows individuals to gradually improve their strength, flexibility, motor control and confidence that has been gradually reduced while being in pain.
Exercise Prescription
Safe and effective exercise prescription requires careful consideration of an individual’s health status, baseline fitness goals and preferences. On assessment we are able to prescribe exercises and programs to facilitate an individual’s needs, especially those living with chronic conditions, illness and injury.
Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is a “hands on” approach to physiotherapy treatment. It involves various skilled hand movements to improve tissue extensibility, increase range of motion, mobilise or manipulate soft tissue and joints, modulate pain and reduce movement restrictions within the body. Manual therapy can be used to treat a variety of conditions such as osteoarthritis, tendonitis, headaches, low back and neck pain, as well as acute injuries such as ligament sprains and strains, to name a few.
Neck Pain, Headaches & Migraines
Neck pain, headaches and migraines can be incredibly uncomfortable and unfortunately very common for some. By way of treatment, we use a manual therapy approach in addition with education and exercise to reduce, eliminate or prevent further discomfort.
